November 9th marked the second ever "Global Harmony Sunday" at Grace Lutheran Church! This special worship service began in early Summer of 2025 to foster international peace and empathy, and to celebrate our many cultures that come together in harmony. Grace's choir featured multiple soloists (shout out to Margaret Erath, Lynn Perry, Richard Torrente, and Jean Torrente!), special instrumentations, and lyrics in a variety of languages. The service couldn't have come together if it weren't for the hard work of Pastor Julie, Music Director Margaret Erath, and the wonderful staff of Grace. Special thanks go out to our Staff Organist Paul Wolfmeyer, guitarist Loni Bach, and percussionist Richard Torrente.
Stewardship chair Neil Erath gave an inspirational speech during the service on Stewardship - "what is it, and why does it matter". We reflected on the three T's (Time, Talents, and Treasures) and how each of us in the Grace family can use our passions and strengths to support each other. Grace Lutheran wouldn't be "Grace" if it weren't for each any every member of the congregation. Let's come together this Stewardship season in faith and love. Together, we are strong. Together, we are Grace!
This special worship service was followed by an International Potluck Luncheon, where members of Grace cooked their favorite dishes from across the world to share with their friends and family in Grace's Parish Hall. Tables were decorated with bright colors and flags of different countries. The Parish Hall was filled with fellowship, food, and fun! We thank everyone who made this special service possible. Go in Peace!
