Congratulations, Reverend Dr. Julie!

Grace Lutheran Church extends a very big congratulations to our Pastor Julie Haspel, who has graduated with her Doctorate from Drew University's Theological School! This is a huge accomplishment, and we are so proud of her. We have watched Pastor Julie work tirelessly on her dissertation, all while still catering to the needs of the congregation. She is the founder of Living Grace, a mental health support group that meets regularly to support each other with mental health struggles. She started the "Walk in Our Shoes" speaker series, where we get to host and listen to the lived experiences of people from different walks of life, learning about empathy, compassion, and interesting topics. She continually shows up to support the life of the congregation at Grace, bringing new ideas to the table that inspire us all to lead lives filled with faith and gratitude.

Pastor Julie tells us in her sermons that we are all the salt of the Earth. We are necessary, we are loved, and only together are we whole. All that we carry, all that we are, is enough, for Jesus died for our sins and every one of us walks with the Grace of God.

Pastor Julie, we welcome you now as Reverend Dr. Julie Haspel. Congratulations again to you on your incredible achievement. You are a blessing to our congregation!
