Pastor
Julie Haspel
Pastor Julie was called to Grace Lutheran Mendham on January 10th, 2021. She was ordained on August 4th, 1991 by Grace Lutheran in Somers Point, NJ. Her academic achievements include a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and is pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry. Her passion for justice and the building of relationships is evident in her every endeavor.

Office Administrator
Deb Paff
Deb has been hard at work with Grace creating bulletins, writing Sunday's Coming, and performing other office duties. Deb ensures the church office stays organized and ready-to-go for special events like our yearly Spring Jazz Service. She has been with Grace for half a year, and enjoys spending time with members of the church and singing in choir. Outside of Grace, her favorite way to spend her time is Ballroom Dancing!

President Church Council
Bruce St. John
Bruce is responsible for leading the Congregation Council. He oversees the Congregational Council and acts as liaison between the Pastor, Council, and Congregation. He has been a member of Grace for 12 years and enjoys participating in church choir. Outside of Grace, Bruce volunteers his accounting experience for Non-Profits. In honor of God's Call, Bruce lives his life in gratitude, following the phrase "Come for the Music and stay for the feast".

Music Director
Margaret Erath
Margaret directs the choir, handbell choir, and praise team at Grace, as well as helps plan the worship service. She has a BS in Music Therapy and studied organ and voice, and has been a long time member of Grace. Margaret's the mother of three adult children. She loves to share her musical talents and help lead worship. Outside of Grace, Margaret is the organist at Community of St. John Baptist, volunteers at the Chester-Mendham Food Pantry, and plays Mah Jong.

Staff Organist
Paul Wolfmeyer
Thanks to his parents, Paul began to study organ in his pre-teens with an Episcopal organist in Omaha and continued that study at Iowa State University. His fascination with the "tracker" organ evolved from a European organ study in 1989 sponsored by Westminster Choir College. Paul has served as organist at six congregations and has guested or substituted at most Christian denominations.

Stewardship Chair, Tech Lead
Neil Erath
Neil volunteers his time and talent at Grace, in addition to church council, by managing and streaming services to bring God's message to those who cannot make it to the church building. He has been a member of Grace since 1998, and enjoys singing with the Praise Team and spending time with the community. Outside of Grace, Neil cherishes his wife and three children, volunteers with the Chester Fireman Company, and works in IT Security.

Social Ministry Chair
Jacqueline Troum
With the help of Arden Napurano, Jacqueline facilitates the Faith Kitchen luncheon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover, NJ. She also coordinates with Homeless Solutions in Morris Plains, NJ. A member of Grace for 5 years, Jacqueline cherishes the kindness and selflessness of other church members. Outside of Grace, she is a mother to three boys who "always keep me busy and on my toes"!

Parish Life Chair
Pam Gau
Pam assists in organizing fellowship activities within Grace. Having taught within the Chester School District for 19 years, she applies her wide skillset to aid the church wherever she can. A long time member of Grace since 1991, Pam steps in wherever she's need to ensure that Grace will hold true in Mendham for many years to come. Outside of Grace, Pam assists in working the polls during election season, and works hard to be a #1 Grandmother.

Property Chair
Kenneth Imhauser
A member of Grace for 10 years, Kenneth serves as the Property Chair on the Congregational. He proudly works outside of Grace as a Controller at Industrial Tube Corp, a Fourth-Generation family run business. His favorite memories of Grace are attending the annual Mardi Gras service and the delicious pancake breakfasts! In his free time, Kenneth enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it be gardening, skiing, or surfing.

Education Chair
Richard Torrente
Richard works hard at Grace ensuring the Sunday School Program, the Bible Study Group, and the Adult Forum programs run smoothly. He ensures that the education at Grace is consistent, positive, and meaningful. Having been a member of Grace for almost a decade, he lends his musical talents by singing in the choir, performing solos, and playing percussion. Richard fondly remembers his first communion with Pastor Julie and enjoys attending Grace with his family.

Treasurer Church Council
Nancy Torrente
Nancy lends her time to the church managing the budget and finances as Treasurer of the congregation. Outside of church, she enjoys teaching middle school Mathematics and sings in the church choir. Nancy cherishes the time spent at church with her family. She has been a member of Grace for over a decade and works hard to ensure Grace can continue to thrive.

Evangelism Chair
Kari Morrison
Kari is responsible for planning and executing an evangelism strategy aligned with Grace's mission, providing for congregational growth and inclusion. Kari organizes Grace's outreach efforts, promoting special events and worship services. She coordinates service projects, spreading the love of God within our community. Kari has been a member of Grace through various ages and values the close-knit community. Outside of Grace, Kari works in the legal profession and is busy keeping up with her son.
