Acolytes - Worship helpers for lighting candles and assisting at the distribution of communion. Confirmation age young people are required to serve. Younger members may volunteer for training.

Altar Flowers - Members are encouraged to provide flowers for the Altar each Sunday. Many members choose to honor family members or commemorate significant dates. Members of Grace also provide flowers for Easter and Christmas services.

Altar Guild - These members of Grace serve by setting up the altar, paraments and communion elements for worship each week. They serve in monthly teams and are responsible for the care of all items relating to communion and worship.

Assisting Ministers - Lay members of the congregation who weekly assist the Pastor during the worship service. They also assist in the distribution of Holy Communion. Training is provided.

Chancel Choir - The choir leads the congregation in the sung liturgy and prepares an anthem for most services as well as providing special music throughout the year. They rehearse on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. A fine Rieger organ, piano and keyboard provide appropriate accompaniment. Both Choir director and Organist are trained musicians. The music program at Grace provides many opportunities for all that are interested in this aspect of worship.

Children's Music - Although there is not currently a children’s music program, the children of Grace often provide special music during the worship service and intergenerational music programs are often planned.

Lay Readers - Each Sunday, members of the congregation read the first and second lessons. Training is provided for all who wish to participate.

Nursery Care - Nursery care is provided during Sunday Worship Services. Member families are assigned one Sunday each year to care for the infants and toddlers during worship.

Presenter Family - This family provides bead and wine for communion, brought to the church in advance for the Altar Guild to prepare. They may present the elements during the Offertory.

Ushers - Divided in to teams, each usher serves once a month. Their duty is to distribute bulletins, assist visitors, seat latecomers, receive the offering, and direct the congregation to the Altar for communion. Training is provided.

Worship & Planning Committee - Meets regularly to plan worship services for the seasons of the Church Year. Members use planning guides and work closely with the Pastor and Staff Musicians.

Worship Services – Grace has two worship services every Sunday (September – June).  During the summer months we worship together at 9:30 a.m..

Our Traditional Service of Holy Communion is celebrated at 9:30 a.m. throughout the year. Holy Communion is offered every Sunday.  With our pipe organ and talented chancel choir, this service celebrates Christ in traditional Lutheran format.

At 11:00 a.m. join our Praise Team for a Contemporary Service.  In addition to music that ‘moves you,’ this service includes the reading of the Gospel, Pastor Carol Peterson’s Sermon of the Day, and Holy Communion.  Our Contemporary Service concludes at 11:45 in conjunction with the conclusion of Sunday Church School.
