On
Sunday,
April
16,
1967

congregation
had
its
first
worship
service
in
the
new
building
with
76
persons
attending.
After
a
fellowship
dinner
on
Saturday,
May
27,
1967
the
official
organization
meeting
was
held
and

adopted
its
constitution,
confirmed
the
call
to

community

in

met
for

was

accepted
another

During
the
70s,
Grace
Lutheran
continued
to
grow
as
it
found
many
ways
to
reach
out
in
the
community,
sending
food
and
medicine
to
a
hurricane
ravaged
North
Carolina,
helping
relocate
a
Vietnamese
family
of
ten
and
a
Chilean
family
of
three
and
donating
more
than
800
hours
helping
people
in
Wilkes
Barre,
Pa.
after
terrible
flooding.
Closer
to
home,
Hexagon

was
formed
and
Feast
&
Fellowship
attracted
more
than
75%
of
Graces
members.
